VATSIM Training offered

Postby COA4101 Johann Iovine » Sun Mar 22, 2009 10:01 pm

Hello all,
I am Jóhann and just was named Asst Hub Manager in Newark. I have been on VATSIM for about 5 years now and want to offer some training if needed to anyone. We have number of pilots using offline FSCars or FSPax, but it is more fun to fly online, especially when we set up events soon.

If you want to get started with VATSIM, please contact me at j.iovine@simcoa.org or if you see me online (use VATspy, http://www.metacraft.com/VATSpy/) send me a PM if you are a newbie and need training. I am also often on as BIKF_APP (in Iceland) so if you want some basic IFR training and see me controlling just come on and I can help you (although European procedures slightly differ from American procedures, but it is good to know when you do long haul flights to Europe)

Either way, any VATSIM related question, please ask me.

Good luck!

Good post Johann,
I thought I would add to it though. For those who are using FSX and fly offline because "there is more traffic"... you can have your AI flying while you're on vatsim. Only YOU can see them, so in times of busy airports with ATC online, it's best to turn off the AI.
